A Museum in the Field is a single group, private campground.
The Museum in the Field was hand-built with the help of many people. Several projects are still being produced, some still in the planning stages (guests sometimes participate in production work, if you have a special skill and would like to contribute, all are welcome). Camping guests are welcomed to watch or to participate.
The crystal clear waters of the Maze river flows through Gero city. Along the banks of the river you will find the Museum in the Field. Adjacent to the museum there is a small farm of hand raised Kuroge Wagyu beef. Enjoy the camp's relaxed atmosphere while looking at the calm of the cow, the beautiful mountains and blue sky, the flow of the river.
Because it is equipped with a large tent that can sleep up to 6 people, you do not need to have camping equipment. Although pets are welcome they are not permitted to stay in the tent, so please bring a separate shelter for your pet.
You can also cook your own meals. There is a small stove and if you are looking for a Pizza baking experience you can bake Pizza in the Earth Oven.
In addition, you can schedule different handmade workshops on request.
Will you chat with friends under a string of christmas lights that uses solar electricity and the flames of campfire and candle light? Enjoy a quiet parent-child conversation? Or sit quietly by yourself?
This is a place where all these things are possible.
